A date night for married couples
The Bible has a love song in it
A whole book, actually. Song of Songs is a husband and wife flirting, complimenting, and chasing each other. Tonight, you get to do the same. Some of their compliments are beautiful. Some are... a little strange. That's half the fun.
"Strengthen me with raisins, refresh me with apples, for I am faint with love."SONG OF SONGS 2:5 (NIV)
Who said it?
Every line is straight from Song of Songs. Read it out loud, then guess who said it: the husband or the wife.
Compliment like a king
Solomon never ran out of ways to tell his bride how beautiful she was. Your turn. Look your spouse in the eyes and read the compliment slowly, like you mean it, because you do. Then add one of your own. Take turns.
"How beautiful you are, my darling! Oh, how beautiful! Your eyes are doves."SONG OF SONGS 1:15 (NIV)
Catch the little foxes
In the song, little foxes sneak into the vineyard and ruin it. Little things can sneak into a marriage too. Take turns answering, starting with {H}.
"Catch for us the foxes, the little foxes that ruin the vineyards, our vineyards that are in bloom."SONG OF SONGS 2:15 (NIV)
Arise, come away
Flirty dares, royal-court style. Draw a dare and do it, then pass the phone. Skip any dare you'd rather pass on.
"Arise, my darling, my beautiful one, come with me."SONG OF SONGS 2:10 (NIV)
Your own love song
Fill in the blanks, then read it to your spouse in your most dramatic, royal voice. Take turns. Whoever gets the bigger laugh picks dessert.

I am yours, and you are mine.
He wrote the love song
God could have left romance out of the Bible. He didn't. He gave a whole book to a husband and wife delighting in each other. Your flirting, your laughter, and your desire for each other are not something to hide from Him. They're His idea.
"I am my beloved's and my beloved is mine."SONG OF SONGS 6:3 (NIV)
"Many waters cannot quench love; rivers cannot sweep it away."SONG OF SONGS 8:7 (NIV)
Hold hands. Each of you thank God for your spouse, by name, out loud. Ask Him to keep your love burning.
The song starts with a kiss
"Let him kiss me with the kisses of his mouth, for your love is more delightful than wine."SONG OF SONGS 1:2 (NIV)
So does the rest of your night. Kiss your spouse. Make it a good one.
Ten seconds, worthy of a king and his bride. Going over is encouraged.
The rest of the evening is just for the two of you. 😉
