Set the table
Tonight is all about gratitude, for each other, for your story, and for God's faithfulness. A little prep makes it feel like a feast.
Grateful A to Z
Take turns. For each letter, name something you're thankful for about your spouse or your marriage that starts with that letter. Stuck? Use the idea, or skip the letter. Q and X get a free pass.
Stories from the table
Take turns answering, starting with {H}. Laugh about the good ones and the disasters.
Seasons of grace
Gratitude isn't only for the easy days. Talk about where God has been faithful in the hard ones too.
"Give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you."1 THESSALONIANS 5:18 (ESV)
A toast to us
Fill in your toast, then raise your glasses and read it to each other.
"Enter his gates with thanksgiving, and his courts with praise! Give thanks to him; bless his name!"PSALM 100:4 (ESV)
Hold hands. Take turns thanking God for three things about your spouse. Then thank Him for His faithfulness to your marriage this year.
A thankful kiss
One more thing to be grateful for.
Driver, eyes on the road. Save the kiss for when you're parked.
Seven seconds. Going over is encouraged.
Of all the blessings you counted tonight, you two are at the top of the list. End the night the grateful way, with a kiss.
