A date night for married couples
Get cozy
Tonight is twelve little moments together, Christmas-style. Set the scene ahead of time.
Twelve days of us
Twelve little moments from your story together. Take turns answering, starting with {H}. No rush. This is the main event.
If this year were an ornament
Every tree has ornaments that hold a memory. If you could hang one ornament for this year of your marriage, what would it be? Describe it, then tell each other why.
What was the hardest moment of this year? Where did you see God carry you through it together?
Gift tags
Write your spouse a gift tag, but instead of a present, name a gift you see in them. Then read it out loud.
A Christmas card for someone else
The best part of Christmas is giving. Think of a couple, a family, or a friend who could use some encouragement this season. Write them a Christmas card together, then send it this week.
The greatest gift
Before the lights and the presents, there was a baby in a manger. The best gifts you give each other this year will come from the love He first gave you.
"For to us a child is born, to us a son is given; and the government shall be upon his shoulder, and his name shall be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace."ISAIAH 9:6 (ESV)
- One way I saw God's love through you this year was…
- A gift I want to give you next year that doesn't come in a box is…
Hold hands. Thank God for sending Jesus, and for the gift of each other. Ask Him to fill your home with His peace this Christmas, out loud or silently.
A kiss by the tree
Twelve days, twelve moments, twelve seconds. Stand close by the lights and make it count.
Driver, eyes on the road. Save the kiss for when you're parked.
One second for every day of Christmas. Going over is encouraged.
Of all the gifts under the tree, you two are the best one. Merry Christmas, and seal it with a kiss.
